Helpful tips
Okay, so I've noticed a lot of people dont know a few things about the game. I made a guide before on how to breed for better bs, but I haven't made a guide sort of page.
So, here's some tips
1) Care for your horses all at once. Here's a great guide Written by Caberneigh- https://eqcetera.com/topic/1806/ If you groom your horses each time, you'll get a better BS foal. If you don't want to care for your horses every day, use the Full Board option on boarding stalls.
2) Enter all your horses though their page. It's unbelievably faster, once you've cared for all your horses, you can easily enter shows, use the shift click if you don't have the enter all, or use the enter all, and then click 'Next Horse' Here's a guide created by Rhea on how to use a google addon to make showing even easier

3) Enter all your horses, every day. This way you get the best levels, which in turn gives you better Training boosts on your foals and therefore higher quality foals, and the most money reward. Here's a great guide by Solo on how to show per your game desires- https://eqcetera.com/topic/1469/
4) Train your horses every week. The higher the ps, the more likely they are to win, and the better chance you have to make even more money, and better foals.
5) Make a BS chart, and use the sheets that other players have posted. This is a HUGE help. I use them. It really helps when trying to breed for those 6 Excellent Breed Standard horses. Alfalfa created and AMAZING spreadsheet that is amazingly helpful and will even tell you how many horses you have in what diciplines and teirs and how many colours of the breed that you have.

is there a guide which Discipline for which breed is the best?

There is no hard and fast rule on disciplines for breed, PonyLoverGirl. Horses pulled from the foundation have very slight leanings which can be overcome rapidly with a week or two of training. However, if you are acquiring a horse from another player, that's a different story. In Help -> Getting Started you can view a chart showing which performance skills apply toward which disciplines. Whichever skill has the highest number will be the primary skill of the discipline that horse has been bred for. Older and well-shown horses can be easily determined by viewing their show history and matching that.

There's no "best" discipline for each breed. You can choose whichever you like. Some find it helpful to ask around and see what other breeders have chosen for their breeds, so its easier to find outside horses to breed yours to without spreading out their stats too much, but it's up to you.

Can someone please tell me how to make an auction for gems? I need to urgently but I can't figure out how!

Ember- my other guide is linked in the other post, better breeding guide.
Glimmer and Glow- I think you have to do that in the auction house. It may tell you step by step in the FAQ, or on the Wiki guide. I know you have to go to the auction house, go slowly and read everything on the page. I've auctioned horses for 200eq by mistake before when I wanted ingots.
